Cool Dude Ethan made it through Christmas. Unfortunately, he was starting to get sick just as Lynn and I were getting ready to visit Nashville for the Music City Bowl.

Lynn and I arrive in Nashville. A view from our hotel room suggests that Nashville has a real downtown and real nightlife. Too bad we are too old to really sample the fun.

As you can see, not much gold. Alabama had almost 90% of the crowd.

Lynn is getting ready for Ethan's birthday party. A train theme dominates. Here, Lynn prepares a cupcake trial run with a candy-based train on top.

We returned from Nashville to find Ethan sick. So was my Dad. Rudy was sympathetic.

Just as the year began, it was time to get Ethan's train set ready.
