if anyone thinks its doctored its not because i read in an old Boing book that these pilots got there rudder shot off when they were bombing a city but i forgot which city

They were doing low altitude test flights in mountainous areas when they encountered some severe turbulence that snapped off the vertical stab & rudder. The pilots got it back home using differential throttles for rudder control.
