More Trim
Max Conrad! He flew from NY to Paris, solo, non-stop in a Piper Tri-Pacer in 1954! The first to do it after Lindburg. He set many long distance records. He has passed away and gone south now. One of the best pilots ever!!

Ron May, not Max Conrad, one of the Navy GCA crew, had his picture taken in what was left of the White Penguin, Max Conrad's Aztec, that crashed during takeoff at the South Pole. http://www.southpolestation.com/trivia/igy2/conrad/conrad2.html
