The report on that one is interesting. Apparently the pilot noticed that something kept him from taxiing away from the gate. Instead of stopping, he applied more and more power, eventually pulling with takeoff thrust. A luggage train and assorted cargo containers were subsequently blown through the glass front into the airport building while the tailfins kept cutting into each other. The board's verdict: Pilot Error. Duh ;)

Nothing a 50 foot Jersey Barrier couldn't have prevented.

Due to the rising gas prices the airport was trying to ''cut'' costs!! lol

Yes this was indeed pilot error. chalk another one up for Asian pilots at Anchorage International Airport, along with taxiway takeoffs :)

Apparently this was the 747's fault as it attempted a U-turn. The IL-62's tail number is RA-86564.

Referring to what werewolf said about the report on this one, it reminds me of the commercial where the old lady is trying to back out of her garage ,and gets stuck running the side of her car down the doorway, so she floors it.

Hard to believe a pilot would apply takeoff power anywhere but on takeoff.

this is a pilots version of 'tug of war' whoever loses their tail first loses.
