| This happened October 2003 at the 19th FAI World Grand Prix, Twin Ring Motegi. The Russian pilot Alexander Krotov was injured during a training session. See "www.fai.org/news_archives/fai/cat_fai_world_grand_prix.asp". There is unfortunately no room for error when flying in a cities grand prix car circuit. |

| Hey guys, this video is NOT from Alexander Krotov's Sukhoi! Because Alexander's plane had blue/white fuselage, but on this video had fully blue... well? | ||
| From: | contraildash | (Mon Aug 22 14:56:01 2005) |
| and thats not a race track in the video either. | ||

| The video bears no relation to the picture. For a start the fin is still attached even hslfway through the crash and in the picture the entire rear fuselage is missing before the crash happens. | ||

| Well I guess that ended his chances of winning any air races in THAT plane! | ||

| The video at http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photogallery/Videos/2006-10-21_krotov_japan_2003-Crash.wmv is definately this crash. |

| BTW, don't know the cause of the crash, but it looks to me like there may have been loss of power whilst inverted at low level making him push the stick forwards excessively, or something that made the wings flex. | ||

| A Krotov crashed twice - 2001 and 2003. That's all I know. There are videos of both on YouTube. 2001 in France: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l9oFzgdh-k |

| Apparently he wasn't hurt too badly. He flew in an aerobatic competition in France last month. (Okt, 2006) | ||
| From: | Dave L. | (Mon Feb 5 20:12:34 2007) |
| Looks like he tried to roll level after power loss just before impacting a gound structure and hit the wing which broke it. It wasn't his day to die. | ||

| This accident occurred in Japan. The pilot was russian and he survived to fly and crash a second time. He survived that one also. | ||
